Infoblox Honors Hispanic Heritage Month: Celebrating Pioneers of Change
A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
As we enter Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM), Infoblox demonstrates its commitment to celebrating diversity and fostering an inclusive workplace. This annual celebration, which runs from September 15 to October 15, honors the contributions, culture, and history of Hispanic and Latino individuals in the United States. This year’s theme, “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” pays tribute to the trailblazers who have made impactful changes across various fields, from science and technology to arts and culture.
Internal Initiatives for Celebration
Infoblox understands that fostering a diverse work environment goes beyond mere acknowledgment; it requires active participation and engagement from all employees. To that end, the company has rolled out a series of internal initiatives designed to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month meaningfully.
1. Cultural Awareness Workshops
Throughout HHM, Infoblox is hosting a series of cultural workshops that highlight the rich histories and traditions of Hispanic communities. These workshops aim to educate employees about the significance of Hispanic culture, including its influence on art, music, cuisine, and business. By fostering understanding, Infoblox seeks to strengthen relationships among its diverse workforce.
2. Spotlight on Hispanic Employees
Infoblox is dedicating its internal communication platforms to spotlight stories and achievements of Hispanic employees. By sharing personal experiences and professional journeys, the company aims to inspire others and create a sense of belonging. These features will be accompanied by visual displays across offices, showcasing the diverse faces that contribute to the Infoblox community.
3. Community Engagement through the Unid@s Blox ERG
The Unid@s Blox Employee Resource Group (ERG) is at the forefront of this year’s celebration, spearheading a series of events. These include weekly Hispanic Heritage Month Learning Challenges designed to deepen employee knowledge about Hispanic cultures, as well as engaging activities such as a Hispanic & Latin American Jeopardy game. Additionally, employees will have the opportunity to participate in enlightening conversations with thought leaders, including a session with Tony Waller, Vice President and Corporate Officer at Walmart Corporation, and Diosa Femme, a critically acclaimed podcaster from Locatora Radio.
4. Culinary Celebrations
Food is a powerful medium for cultural expression, and Infoblox is celebrating HHM through initiatives such as potluck lunches where employees are encouraged to bring traditional dishes from their Hispanic backgrounds. These shared meals will nourish not only the body but also the spirit of camaraderie among colleagues.
5. Charitable Giving Opportunities
In addition to these events, Infoblox has created a charitable giving opportunity on their Giving Your Way platform, spotlighting three organizations that support Hispanic communities. This initiative encourages employees to contribute to the betterment of Hispanic and Latino organizations, reflecting the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
6. Custom Teams Backgrounds and Engagement
Employees are encouraged to display a custom Teams background throughout the month to show their support for Hispanic Heritage Month. More information about all activities can be found on the company’s internal platform, Blox360, fostering an environment of participation and enthusiasm.
A Commitment to Future Inclusion
This month-long celebration serves as a reminder of the invaluable impact of Hispanic heritage on our nation’s cultural tapestry. It’s an opportunity to recognize the resilience, creativity, and enduring spirit of Hispanic communities and their contributions to our shared society.
As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month 2024, let’s come together to appreciate and celebrate the pioneers of change within the Hispanic community who continue to shape our future. Together, we can foster a more inclusive and diverse technology industry that reflects the rich tapestry of our society.
